As a Bay Area Maternity Photographer, I am always in awe of the love stories behind each and every family I have the privilege to capture. This beautiful maternity photoshoot in San Jose is no exception. The couple at the center of these pictures is truly a testament to the power of love and the joys of parenthood.
This couple met in a coffee shop in San Jose, both grabbing a cup of coffee before work. They struck up a conversation about their mutual love for photography and nature. They quickly discovered that they shared many other interests and before long, they were inseparable.
After several years of dating, they decided to take the next step and get married. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony surrounded by their family and friends. Now, as they welcome their first child into the world, their love for one another only grows stronger.
Their maternity photoshoot took place at a park near their home in Los Altos. We took advantage of the stunning sunset light, capturing the couple's love for one another and the beauty of the natural surroundings. The couple was so natural and relaxed in front of the camera, making my job as their maternity photographer an absolute joy.

When planning a maternity photoshoot, I recommend scheduling the session between 28-35 weeks. This is when mama's bump is beautifully rounded, but she still has enough energy to enjoy the shoot. We scheduled this couple's session for a warm, sunny day in the late afternoon, taking advantage of the beautiful golden light.
For their maternity shoot, the mama wore a beautiful flowing dress that accentuated her bump. She looked simply radiant, and her husband couldn't keep his eyes off of her. Their love for one another was truly palpable, and it was a privilege to capture it through my lens.
My approach to maternity photography is to create a relaxed and natural atmosphere, allowing the couple to simply be themselves. I believe that this is what leads to the most beautiful and meaningful maternity pictures. By taking the time to get to know the couple, I can create a session that truly captures their unique love story.
